Seasoning For Land and Sea // easy Red SNAPPER recipe ❤

Ingredients

Land & Sea Seasoning

  • 3 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp dry mustard

  • 1 tbsp thyme

  • 1 tbsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 1½ tsp brown sugar

  • 2½ tbsp garlic powder

  • 1½ tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper


For the Baked Red Snapper

  • 3 red snapper fillets (or any fish)

  • Light cooking spray

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

  • Land & Sea seasoning (heavy coating recommended)

  • Zesty Italian dressing

  • Lemon slices


Instructions

Make the Seasoning

  1. Add all spices to a bowl or small jar.

  2. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  3. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.


Prepare the Baked Fish

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).

  2. Lightly spray the fish fillets with cooking spray.

  3. Brush or drizzle the melted butter over the fillets.

  4. Coat the fish generously with the Land & Sea seasoning.

  5. Place the fillets into a baking dish.

  6. Pour zesty Italian dressing over the top, ensuring the fish is well-covered.

  7. Add lemon slices on top.

  8. Bake for 13–18 minutes, depending on your oven and the thickness of the fillets.

  9. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.


Notes

  • Cayenne pepper can be omitted if you prefer mild seasoning.

  • Brown sugar helps balance strong spices without making the blend sweet.

  • This seasoning works for pork, chicken, shrimp, roasted vegetables, and fish.

  • Adjust baking time if fillets are thick or your oven runs hotter/cooler.

  • Serve with roasted potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
